Working closely with branch heads, you will lead, develop and harness a strong existing commitment to service excellence. New service initiatives will mean new standards for quality, new roles in communities, new alignments and integrations, new staffing allocations and new training opportunities. Your passion and contributions as a professional librarian and manager, coupled with experience in a unionized environment, will provide useful context for this new leadership role. With a budget of $15 million and over 200 staff, the Regina Public Library has nine locations. The Library holds as core values learning, access for all, service excellence, accountability and intellectual freedom. Just completing a five year strategic plan and comprehensive review of services and programs, it is poised to address new challenges and new directions. As the provincial capital, Regina offers art gallery, museum, theatre and symphony programs, extensive recreation opportunities and many special events, as well as a highly rated university, community college and excellent school system.
