Authentic Governance

We work with not-for-profit boards to develop models of authentic governance, from recruitment of new board members/trustees to assessment of effectiveness. Our focus is on high-performing boards through training and development, with criteria and measures. Examples of recent projects include development of curriculum guides and trainer or trainer programs for a state agency, orientation sessions for both urban and small library boards, strategic planning, community engagement, executive searches, evaluation of the CEO, board assessment and recommendations, and improving annual reports.

Authentic Leadership

Without authentic leadership, from the board and CEO/director, senior management and indeed throughout the organization, there will be nor forward motion and no realization of mission and strategic goals. We have worked with a wide variety of organizations, associations and consortia on leadership development, selection, executive coaching and succession management.

Examples of recent projects include executive searches, collaborative development of the curriculum for a national leadership institute with follow-up and performance measures, and succession management plans and programs with major urban public and academic libraries.
